About us
Our Story
It wasn't too long ago that a simple grocery trip opened our eyes to the overwhelming amount of plastic waste we were bringing home. That moment sparked our mission to find products that not only replace plastic but match its durability. At The Alternative Craic, we ditch plastic together, and there's no going back.
Who are we and what's in store?
We are still a small but passionate team, with our founder, Shivani Dedhia, leading the charge. Though Shivani primarily drives this project, she is supported by an incredible network of people helping us grow. As we expand, our goal is to grow the team and eliminate one plastic at a time.
Why us?
We keep it simple. Sustainability doesn't have to feel overwhelming. A small change, like switching from disposable cups to ceramic ones in your organization, means a guilt-free, waste-free coffee experience for everyone. We're not just another packaging company; we're your partner in making a real, lasting difference by coming together to ditch plastic.
What can you do?
Keep it simple here too. Talk to us and tell us what you're looking for. We offer a selection of products and can also cater to customized needs. Whether you want compostable, recyclable alternatives, or want to brainstorm sustainable solutions, we're here to help bring real change for you and your business.
On stage at PACKEDGE
Shivani spoke on the panel Sorting, Recycling, Composting and Energy Recovery: Unpacking End of Life Solutions at PACKEDGE, the print and packaging event, alongside speakers from the Irish Packaging Society, Irishplastics.com and Applied Polymer Technologies.
